*NYC Theatrical Premiere, One Week Only!*

"Critics' Pick! Filled with clear, bright images and moments of skewed genius, this delicate debut effortlessly evokes those languid summer doldrums, when even a rotting girlfriend is better than no girlfriend at all."
- Jeannette Catsoulis, THE NEW YORK TIMES

The Deagol Brothers' feature debut is a genre-bending tale of a boy trying to fulfill his unrequited love for a girl who has risen from the dead. Set during a sweltering summer of cicadas and swimming pools, MAKE-OUT WITH VIOLENCE blends elements of upbeat teenage melodrama with the strange gravity of classic coming-of-age stories. Winner of Best Feature at the Atlanta, Nashville, Oxford and Magnolia film festivals, the SXSW sensation makes its New York theatrical run with a week-long engagement, August 27 - September 2.

Twin brothers Patrick and Carol Darling (co-writers Eric Lehning and Cody DeVos) are newly graduated from high school and struggling to come to terms with the unexplained disappearance of their friend, the bright and beautiful Wendy Hearst (Shellie Marie Shartzer). When a drive through the countryside surrounding their suburban community leads to the discovery of Wendy's mysteriously animated corpse, the boys secretly transport the undead girl to an empty house in hopes of somehow bringing her back to life. Will they be able to maintain the appearance of normalcy for friends and family as their passion quest takes unexpected turns?

105 minutes. In English. Presented in Blu-ray. Unrated. A Factory 25 release.

** COME EARLY FOR LIQUOR & SNACKS! Doors open 45 mins. before showtime

"A lyrical, surreal and deeply felt zombie movie that constantly subverts and rethinks the genre."
- Jim Ridley, THE VILLAGE VOICE

"Haunting and heartfelt, a striking, impressive debut about love and loss, life and death, full of suburban strangeness and dark splendor."
- James Rocchi, MSN MOVIES

"Head-scratchingly unique! Holds together with its strong compositional sense, killer atmospheric lighting and wall-to-wall music track... The offbeat rhythms of the cast crank up the film's bizarre intensity."
- Ronnie Scheib, VARIETY

"Not your average zombie movie... The film, whose tone is cool and contemplative, is a quirky meditation on childhood's end, emotional bonds and the nature of love."
- Steve Dollar, THE WALL STREET JOURNAL
